The Hancocks Journal: May

The Hancocks Journal: May

The sun is finally shining in London, this is our first Hancocks Journal written within the walls of our new home in St. James’s Street.

Please do forgive us for being a little quieter than usual during our move – as a small, family business we wanted to get the space absolutely perfect. We are as detail orientated with our gallery space as we are about our jewellery!

The move has not stopped us adding some exciting new jewels to our collection. Do explore just a few of our latest arrivals below and also our ‘New Arrivals’ section on our website. There’s also our Jewel of the Month, which may be of particular interest to any art aficionados, and an ‘Inside Hancocks’ update of course.

As always, please don’t hesitate to contact us with all your jewellery wants, wishes and queries, all our contact information can be found at the end of this newsletter along with our updated address. We look forward to hearing and seeing you soon.

Jewel of the Month

This month we have chosen a piece of jewellery that combines art with adornment with this special Artist’s jewel designed by Georges Braque.

Georges Braque, renowned for his contributions to the Cubist movement discovered a passion for jewellery in the twilight years of his career.

He collaborated with jeweller Baron Heger de Löwenfeld and the duo created ‘Bijoux de Braque’. Sadly, both Braque and Lôwenfeld passed away before completing the limited edition of the 75 pieces, of which this necklace is one.

Inside Hancocks

The countdown to St. James’s Street… is now over!

A glimpse behind our new curtains! 62 St. James’s Street is now very much inhabited and our flag is proudly flying! Perhaps you have seen it if you have been strolling down St. James’s Street recently. We have been extremely busy during this move, there has been a lot to do for our small team, but we are now almost there and are very excited to share our new chapter with you all. We have created a luxurious but relaxed environment, no more counter top transactions, think sofas, velvet armchairs, privacy and music while you browse our glittering collection. If you are planning a trip to the Chelsea Flower Show this year, we will also be getting into the spirit and are planning a beautiful ‘Hancocks in Bloom’ display for that week so keep an eye out for that too!
