The Bulgari Serpenti, introduced in 1948, stands as one of the brand’s most iconic designs. Initially presented as jewelled watches that coiled around the wrist, the Serpenti collection featured the Tubogas motif, another iconic element of the Bulgari repertoire. Over the years, Bulgari has consistently reinvented this ancient symbol in various styles and designs.
The Tubogas style, patented in 1881, gained widespread acclaim among jewellers from the 1940s onward. Known for its flexible yet robust ‘gas pipe’ design, Tubogas requires great skill and precision in its creation.
