Jewel of The Month - December 2025

As the festive season approaches, Hancocks London has chosen an exceptional Old European cut diamond rivière necklace as its final Jewel of the Month for 2025.

These remarkable diamond pendeloque earrings, dated circa 1830, exemplify a period when jewellery was created to adapt effortlessly from daytime wear to candlelit evenings.

Each principal stone is suspended from an 18ct yellow gold bale and set in a Georgian-style, cut-down collets, which are topped with black rhodiumed platinum and backed in 18ct yellow gold. Additional old European cut diamonds are individually set within the chain, adding subtle detail between the principal stones. The necklace closes with a diamond set floral cluster, a classic finishing touch.

Comprising 53 old European brilliant cut diamonds with a combined total weight of 34.33 carats, all I/J colour, the necklace includes 13 GIA-certified diamonds, with the largest central diamond weighing 4.02 carats, I colour and VS2 clarity.
