The Hancocks Journal: November

Autumn has most definitely arrived here in London and as the leaves have been changing so are things here at Hancocks. There is a lot of excitement about our big move to St James’s Street, we will give fuller updates on that in due course but for now we can say it will be early 2024 that we move.

You may also have noticed we missed a couple of journals, this was because we have been busy creating a new look for our monthly newsletter. With our new look we will still be sharing some of the newest additions to our collection, our ‘Jewel of the Month’ and we have also added ‘Inside Hancocks’ which will give you a little behind the scenes and insight to what has been catching the eyes of our Directors!

Now winter is knocking at our doors, minds inevitably turn to Christmas lists, please contact us with any jewellery wants, needs and ideas you may have. You will find links at the end of this email to contact us via WhatsApp, email or phone, or better still come and visit us in our gallery, everything you need to find us is at the end of the newsletter.

We hope you enjoy the November edition of The Hancocks Journal!

Jewel of the Month

A Cartier Art Deco Diamond and Carved Ruby Stylised Bird Brooch

Cartier are famous for their wide array of jewelled bird brooches and they are found in so many different shapes, styles, sizes and species, however the common denominator is always the exceptional quality one expects from a Cartier jewel. Inside Hancocks

With Guy Burton, our Managing Director…

“This month there has been particular interest in the wonderful emerald rings we have in our collection. As with all gemstones I curate, I am very particular about the emeralds I buy. Colombian emeralds are historically of the finest quality and the colour is of course of paramount importance. In addition I will only buy gemstones that have none to minor clarity enhancement so when you buy a Hancocks emerald jewel you can guarantee it has passed my exacting criterias.”
