Antique Diamond Fringe Tiara/Necklace
A Victorian diamond tiara, convertible to a necklace, c.1880s. The tiara formed of a graduated row of eleven fringe spires of lalternating length and design with foliate and scroll design with fleur-de-lys details, set throughout with old cut diamonds and set in silver and gold above a knife edge bar embellished with diamonds which forms the back of the necklace when converted. The necklace is formed of these two separate pieces which are joined together by a hook and eye clasp to either side, in original brown leather box with silk and velvet lining.
