A Striking Pair of Vintage Malachite and Diamond Ear Clips

A striking pair of malachite and diamond ear clips by Cartier c.1960s, each earring designed as a double cross over half hoop formed of two domed curves of polished malachite with rounded tapered ends inlaid with gold oval shaped motifs set with round brilliant cut diamonds, all in 18ct yellow gold with clip fittings. These bold and colourful earrings are perfect for both pierced and non-pierced ears and would add a splash of drama to any look. The deep green malachite has been carefully carved to ensure the banded nature of the material is highlighted and flows in the same direction vertically down all pieces. The diamonds are of high quality and have been well matched adding a subtle sparkle to these fun vintage clips.

About The Maker

Cartier

When Louis-François Cartier (1819-1904) opened his small jewellery store in Paris in 1847, he couldn’t have imagined that 170 years later his name would be synonymous worldwide with some of the finest jewellery ever created.
